GENE SCHWARTZ
 

    Gene Schwartz is well known to the Blues world. For 30 Years he has been the bass player for Blues legend Robert Lockwood, Jr. and also co-fronts the power trio, "The Schwartz Brothers Band" with his brother Glenn. 

    Long before Gene started plucking the strings of the bass professionally though, he was pounding the pavement as a dominant E/Gas drag racer. Gene hand-built his cars from top to bottom and has raced them to a number of records. After achieving more in racing than most would in a lifetime, Gene took a 30+-year break to play and travel with his friend and mentor, Mr. Lockwood.

     Gene continues to perform with Mr. Lockwood as a member of his band, but has also driven full speed back into racing. In 2004, he completed both a replica of his famous 1952 Chevy E/Gas record-holding drag car and an all-original 1952 Chevy. He is currently building a third 1952 Chevy set to be finished in 2006.

    Gene and his incredible automobiles are available for nostalgia races, car shows, cruises, and other related events. He is also available for consultation to hot rodders requiring export advice on specific projects.
